I come here twice a week on my lunch break. They have the best hibachi in the area. I was able to self serve by picking out whatever toppings I wanted. The staff is ALWAYS pleasant and assists with all my needs. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Wow. I rarely write reviews and can be overly critical about a lot of small details, but this little spot was such a pleasant surprise that I had to jot something down. In addition to being a bang for your buck deal, this place offers Mongolian bbq, ramen, wings, etc, and a decked-out sportsbar-- it somehow all comes together cohesively. Not to mention the owners that continually checked up on us, along with being served by Victor, their 17-year veteran hibachi chef. In a sea of DC restaurants that struggle to establish a proper identity, this was a unique changeup. Do yourself a favor and make a visit-- H street is lucky to have this.

Guys. I cannot explain how happy I am to have a hibachi/mongolian bbq style grill back in DC. Not only that, but now the new owners have introduced “build your own ramen” (hard to find ramen flavors, at that) as well as Korean chicken which my friend Victor, from the grill, has told us is finger lickin’ good. Just kidding— he didn’t say finger lickin’ good (because it was in Spanish), but he did say it was exquisite. I frequented this location when it was Khan’s about 8-10 years ago... don’t age me. When that closed and was sold off, I was devastated missing my hibachi/mongolian bbq fix. As soon as I heard the grill was back, I ran over there on a Friday night. I was greeted by a very sweet and hospitable couple (i’m assuming they are husband and wife and this is a mom-and-pop shop). They walked us through every step of the way and were absolutely so kind to every person walking in. You could tell they have a lot of passion for running their restaurant. We got beef hibachi, and for about 15-16ish bucks you get this heaping hot bowl of saucy noodles and rice that you can definitely take home if your eyes are too big for your stomach. Get this—Victor, the gentleman at the helm of the magnificent grill, front and center, has been employed by every single owner of each restaurant at this address for the past 17 years. He was so knowledgeable, made sure we had enough sauce for our noodles, and went the extra mile. I cannot remember the last time I was treated so nicely at a restaurant that wasn’t Michelin nor asking for my first born child to pay for a tasting menu. Also, there’s a bar in the back with a huge selection of reasonably priced beer, soju, wine, and liquor. They also have TVs with audio for my fellow sports fans. The only con: i’ll have to choose between all the amazing options. I don’t know if I can choose between the grill, BYO ramen, or Korean chicken. PLEASE please do yourself a favor and visit Chicoba.

Easily the best wings I’ve had in years and some of the best I’ve had ever. I had the garlic spicy wings and it was a near perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Also you get a lot of wings for like 13. The potato wedges were good as well with a nice crunch. Highly recommend this place! Update: the boneless wings are good but not exceptional like the bone in. Fries were good as well but wedges are slightly better because of the crunch.
